Biography: Luke Johnson was born and raised in Cayucos, CA, where he further graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in History. He is passionate about college athletics, because of their ability to de-ghettoize regions of the inner city, by building diverse settings of different ethnicities under a simple love of a sport. He is a published poet, and can be found in various journals back east, some of which, that are featured in the Brown University library, and in the New York public library. A born “stat” machine, Johnson is passionate about column writing, and sport reporting. He loves to delve into topical subjects that take like- comparisons, and arrange the arguments with humor, and wit. It is the humorist in Johnson, that develops his pieces and makes the sports world both dynamic and fun. As a die hard Angel fan, Johnson resents the new age Angel fan. He argues you can define the difference between the two, by asking them who their favorite Angel of all-time. 95% of the time, according to Johnson, the answer will be Vladimir Guerrero, which is a sure sign that the fan hopped on after the 02′ World Series title. Johnson’s favorite player of all-time is Wally Joyner. His second, Chuck Finley. He really likes Siamese cats, and believes March Madness is the greatest thing since Jesus.
