The SLO Blues play their last home game of the season this evening — a Friday night fireworks game.

The Blues (37-16) have had a long summer. They got off to a 7-0 and 16-1 start before a five game losing streak in mid-July dropped their record to 29-13. From there, they have won 8 out of 11 games and are poised to travel to Wichita, KS for postseason play.

This past week, the Blues got the curse of their nemesis off their collective backs, beating the Santa Barbara Foresters in two of three games. The Foresters won the tournament in Wichita last season, becoming the 2012 NBC World Series champs.

After tonight, the Blues will play in the CCL Championship series with a win and a Foresters loss. After that, they take to the road for the long trip to Wichita.
