At some point, Pat Johnston realized that he and his family would prefer the lifestyle of a high school head coach to that of a college assistant. It so happened that two local jobs opened up in San Luis Obispo County at almost the exact same time. Pat, the first-year head coach for San Luis Obispo High School football, talked to Owen about the decision, the transition to high school, and how his players have adapted to new systems he’s brought in.
