On the day that news broke of two Hancock men’s basketball players arrested in connection with a murder, Hancock beat Cuesta in San Luis Obispo 83-69.
A post-game box score shows that the Bulldogs only played seven players in the game. Arroyo Grande High School graduate and Hancock freshman, Matt Willkomm led his team with a game-high 25 points. Willkomm buried four three-pointers en route to his career-high.
Benat Hevia led the Cougars with 16 points. Keshawn Liggins scored 10 for Rusty Blair’s side.
