Fansmanship Podcast Episode 217 – Chris Sylvester and Brint Wahlberg
It’s another podcast episode! Cal Poly basketball teams are at the Big...
Cal Poly women’s basketball coach has seen the highs and the lows in 15 seasons leading the Mustangs. Simultaneously sure of herself and endearingly self-deprecating, Mimnaugh discusses her start as a player and a coach, the real story behind her up-tempo style, and what it means to be five wins away from 200 for her Cal Poly career.
This season, the Mustangs’ women’s basketball team will host University of San Diego, San Diego State, Saint Mary’s, Stephen F. Austin, Loyola Marymount, and the University of San Francisco in non-conference home games. They will also go on the road to Cal. While it’s a non-conference game his year, San Diego State will be a conference opponent beginning in 2013.
Coach Faith and I also talked about what she does in her spare time, the importance of good assistant coaches, the importance of a good point guard, and also the general state of the women’s game.
The Mustangs open their home season on November 17 vs. the University of San Diego.
