Fansmanship Podcast Episode 217 – Chris Sylvester and Brint Wahlberg

After a 2-0 start to the conference season, Cal Poly volleyball dropped a pair of Big West matches and moved to 0-4 over the past two weeks. The pair of losses at Mott Athletics Center sunk their record to 8-11 overall (2-4 in Big West play).
The context, of course, is that the team only won four total matches a year ago, three of them in conference play. In fact, the Mustangs only won 16 sets in 16 Big West Conference matches in 2012. So far this year, the team has won twice as many matches as last year overall.
On Saturday, they went up 2 games to 1 on the Matadors of Cal State Northridge before losing in five sets. Despite losses, the energy and play from the team is on the upswing.
