Be like Mike has a good shot to take down the 85 Bears in the later rounds. It is seemingly a commercial of an entire generation. As for LeBron, What should you do? How about you quit talking and looking for sympathy, and just PLAY BASKETBALL. What should you do – that’s funny. SHUT UP AND PLAY! How about that. This one isn’t even close to top 16. Why is this commercial ranked higher than Grandmama? It’s just LeBron’s weak psyche looking for sympathy. That’s not a commercial. Easy 2 seed win.

Speaking of not belonging in the top 16, a commerical with Godzilla footage followed by Barkley dribbling a ball for 2 seconds and not saying a word? Penny and Chris Rock blow it out of the water.

Magic and Bird have to squeak by Kobe and LeBron, simply because they were actually rivals. Kobe and LeBron aren’t ‘on-the-court’ rivals or nemisis like Magic and Bird were. Kobe and Lebron have yet to match up in the finals even once. I remember a Magic interview where he was talking about Bird and said that particular commercial you have was in fact shot at Bird’s house in French Lick. So when they caption “French Lick, Indiana,” it acutally was French Lick, Indiana. Magic spent the whole day there getting to know his respected rival. Great commercial with a story behind it. I vote no upset.

The first dude that raps looks like an angry Carmelo Anthony. That being said, this song had a bit of staying power for its time and place. That is commendable. I know the kid is cute and all, but a George Brett commercial about 7up that lacks creativity or any form of writing or production? The commercial is just the cute kid and nothing more. Shaq dunks the kid and brings down the backboard.

Even though Pete sells the Velva well and definately got him some that night, i’ll take the creativity of a commercial like Mike v Mike over a degenerate gambler hocking aftershave anyday.

I love Magic and that was a reasonable commercial for its time, but ‘have a coke and a smile?’ Comon! Legendary! That that particular Joe Green commercial has to be one of the all-time greats for that era. I think Broadway Joe did a Nair commercial or something that was also pretty funny and controversial for the time. I vote 10 over 7 in the upset.

I always used to wonder if that actually was Cory Blount (#43 in gold) in that frozen-time commercial. Its a great short that is semi-creative, but I think Bob and his Miller Lite squeak by here. Beer commercials are inherently a funny party, which I can relate more to. Upset, 9 over 8 is my vote.
