But you must remember LeBron should not be judged by a standard he did not set. The Best Player Today, is a motto gifted him from many past NBA greats, current NBA players and coaches, fans, critics, and the list continues on. To judge the man by this standard is unfair. Lastly, I hate to say it, but West is the minority in the NBA. If I get your drift here, you are not in fact demaning the Heat’s trio, rather, the NBA’s new generation as a whole (1997-present);hence using the Heat as the great metaphor to this tragic NBA reality. LeBron James is a great player like so many other greats. Like Shaq, he’s chosen in the midst of his prime to find a new home where winning may be a way of life. In Cleveland he proved his greatness, doing amazing things over a seven year period many current NBA greats could not have accomplished. Likeability aside, Bron is as legendary as they come: more villain great now than “in the closet,” hero.
