On Tuesday night, Cal Poly did what a top-three team in the country is supposed to do, beating San Jose State 12-5.
Tim Wise had his first career four-hit game and second-baseman Mark Mathias continued his hot hitting with a pair of hits. A mustache-less Zack Zehner, starting a lot lately in left field, also added three hits.
With the win, Cal Poly moves to 35-5 overall, 30 games above .500 for the first time in program history. They are also 11-1 in Big West Conference play.
