On Friday night, Cal Poly volleyball christened the new floor at Mott Athletics Center, beating Cal State Bakersfield three sets to one.
After they won their first match of the season, the Mustangs had lost four straight matches before winning their home opener. As part of the ShareSLO Tournament, Cal Poly will play both Sacramento State and San Jose State on Saturday.
The Mustangs finish (2-4) will finish their five-match homestand next Friday and Saturday in the Cal Poly/UCSB Tournament against Northern Illinois and Santa Clara.
