A lockout is less lucrative, though from the owners perspective more lucrative from a five, ten, twenty year standpoint. At the same time there is the risk factor: like baseball, a large block of fans never come back. The lockout is like playing your hand at a single game of poker, v another, with everything on the line. Okay not really quite like that…a bit too dramatic…but you feel me.
